The Jesse Redman Band - Biography


The band plays classic Rock and Roll, with their rendition of hits from such groups as: Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeplin, Tommy Tutone, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, Steve Miller, Neil Young, Marshall Tucker, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bachman Tuner Overdrive (BTO), America, ZZ Top, Pat Green, Brooks & Dunn, The Animals, Moody Blues, The Eagles, Doors, Doobie Brothers, and many others.

The band's music is classic rock from the 60's through the 70's with some newer songs and some originals. They "musically own" every song and each song is a unique version of the original.



Dave Stewart ~ Bass Guitar ~ Vocals

Dave, a native of Toronto, has played bass guitar since his teens. Dave has played in bands all over the US and Texas. The bands include: The Uncharted Ways, The Victorian Blues Band, Black Frost, Runt, The Mongrels, Foghat, Euclid, Wicked Stew, and The Daddy Cats.



Isaiah Garza ~ Drums ~ Vocals

Isaiah has played drums for more than 10 years, playing in jazz bands, symphonic and concert bands, drum lines, pep bands, worship bands, theater performances, A cappella groups, and orchestras. Isaiah is proficient at many drum styles including Latin and African drums. Isaiah's music styles cover a broad range of music from classical, to Jazz to contemporary, to country and rock.



Stephanie Garza ~ Multi-instrumentalist ~ lead and harmony vocals

Stephanie is a classically trained musician with a degree in music education. Her first instrument is the flute but she also plays keyboards for the Jesse Redman Band. Stephanie's music styles cover a broad range of music from classical, to contemporary, to country and rock. Stephanie has performed with choral groups throughout the United States and Europe.



Scott Pederson ~ Rhythm and lead guitar, lead and harmony vocals

Scott grew up in the Midwest in a musical family. Beginning with piano when he was 8, guitar when he was 12, vocally throughout high school and college, he is truly a witness to the birth of MTV. He was always playing in a band in high school or college, and spent time working in a recording studio, plus two-different radio stations as a Disc-Jockey. The 90s put him in Texas for the Tech industry, marriage and raising a family. In 2000 he moved to Austin during the Tech boom, and several years back joined a band with co-workers (Superhero Underwear), guest played with the Dawn Maracle band, until finally finding Jesse's band. He might be a computer nerd, but music has always been his passion.



Jesse Redman ~ Rhythm and lead guitar, harmonica, lead and harmony vocals

Jesse started playing guitar at age 14 and within three months of starting guitar, he was playing paying gigs.

He played in bands, duos, trios and as a single musician throughout the Texas Panhandle, Western Oklahoma, Southern Kansas and the Colorado and New Mexico ski resorts.

Jesse arrived on the Dallas music scene at the age of 21. He was already an accomplished guitar player and vocalist having played many gigs and well on his way to developing a unique style with both his guitar playing and his vocals. Jesse played in several bands along the way, including playing lead guitar in a group comprised of several former members of the Johnny Winter Band.

In Dallas, he played in several different groups and as a single musician, garnering the following of many fans and music venues. He was a regular at Dallas’ most popular Rock And Roll showcases.

Later moving to Austin, he continued to progress his own style which has been described by the Dallas Times Herald as "The Beatles Meet Jimi Hendrix". His music includes a unique blend of harmonies and guitar solos that pleases audiences of all ages and takes everyone back to the original days of concert Rock And Roll.

As a side note: While playing music in several groups Jesse co-filed 53 patents. To date has received 23 patents on technology ranging from unmanned aerial vehicles to search engine and browser enhancements. He was also a co-founder of the Austin Inventor’s and Entrepreneurs Association (AIEA) and its first president.
